This started as a project with a long timeframe and creative freedom. With a name like "Veemaal" (Watery painting), we wanted the visuals to feel liquid but not too literal. The soundscape had a lot of effects and technical tweaks in it so we wanted the process to also reflect between analog and technical. I turned to a quite old technique of scan art to get the desired effect. I experimented with different kinds of materials like foil, plastic and paint. After scanning, we got some interesting textures by zooming and framing. The result was a bit of technical, watery visuals for the album cover.
